I intend to buy a 1999 KIA SEPHIA 80,000 miles. Can you please tell me
how is that type of car? is it durable, gas saving and easy to replace
parts in the case there are something wrong?

Thanks

Any car with that many miles in my opinion is questionable.
Assuming the timing belt has been changed and it is good shape maybe you'll
get
100,000 or 115,000 before problems start to set in.
It really depends on the care of the prvious owner and the driving
conditions.
Terry.

I bought a 99 Sephia with 132k on it. THe car drives and rides great. I
drive the car over 120 miles a day back and forth to work. The only thing I
am having a problem with right now is the A/C. It Sqeels and When i turn on
the A/C i lose P/S. But all in all. I love it. Best $2800 i have spent ...
the car gets about 35 mpg on the hiway. Saving me alot of money in gas as my
other vechile is a 04 Dodge Dakota 4.7l v8.

I bought a 99 Sephia 5spd with 108,000mi on it about 15 months ago for $1800
to drive for my job.  It now has 138,000mi on it and still runs great.  Have
only had two problems, which occurred shortly after I bought it:  The
alternator died and one of the electric cooling fans failed.  Neither was
terribly expensive but the alternator was a real pain to get in and out.  I
have been so impressed that I just bought a new 2006 Spectra (they have
great rebates now and got $500 owner loyalty too.) mostly because I wanted
an automatic (city traffic) and some of the newer accessories (keyless
entry, power windows, locks, cruise control, etc.)

Does it have oil change receipts?  I wouldn't buy a used car that doesn't
have oil change receipts in the glovebox.  All it takes is waiting 10K-15k
miles in between a few oil changes to drastically reduce the life of an
engine.  As for the seller's excuse: "well I just didn't save the
receipts."  I wouldn't trust that.  If they're too sloppy/uncaring not to
save oil change receipts, then it's likely that they didn't maintain the
car well.  Every repair receipt I get on my cars goes into a ziplock bag in
the glovebox.  Helps resale value, too.
