Seems to have a an outrigger on the other side. Is this an MOT fail? How
easy/hard is it to repair? Any constructive comments/help welcomed. Thanks
in advance. (Is their a site with lots of photos of Disco body repairs?)

No. It's in the middle about 2 or 3 inches from the bottom of the front of
the rear wheel arch. Its about 3 inches square and on both sides.
