Hi All,
has anyone got knackered LT77 56A.....Suffix G (Defender 200Tdi)
gearbox kicking about - any condition as long as the case is ok
and it's not full of water.

I think I can feel the urge for a 90 plaything again....

I've got one which is ok but missing reverse, that's all.  I'll check the
numbers on it in the morning and report back. It came out of an early 110"
if that's any help.

Thanks for the offer, but it really has to be a 56A Suff. G - I know
I'm being Mr. Picky, but I believe these are the strongest versions,
with the bigger layshaft bearings which last better with a 200Tdi.

Missing reverse isn't a problem!

Cheers

Fairy nuff, but it came out of a 110" so it might be?  Anyway, I forgot what
day it was so it'll be monday when I have a look.

Sorry for the delay but it's  50A 0163474 D,  not what you wanted unless
you know what this is.

Thanks for trying - that's the pre-Tdi box with 27mm layshaft
bearings so not what I'm after. :-(

I wasn't aware of the difference (you learn something every day, so they
say).
I've got a spare box for my RRC Tdi but I suppose this wouldn't be the same
as the last time I wanted a short shaft box I had to change both the input
shaft and layshaft as the teeth on the gears were different, but I need to
keep this anyway for a spare. Have you tried Dave Beaumont near Halifax if
it's just a case you want?, I'm sure he would oblige quite cheaply.

Where are the numbers?  It's possible I may have a suitable unit.

It's on the left hand side, near the botton, on a machines flat bit.
