Well, if you look at the page you can clearly see that it's a hoax, as
there's a banner saying "DAILY EXPRESS"..  The Express is like the
Daily Mail; "Bad weather coming, how it can give you cancer and affect
house prices."

Seeing as the "weather men" are seemingly not even able to forecast that it
will get dark at night any more (too much reliance on their super-computer
program and not enough practical looking out of the window and seaweed
feeling?) it's hardly surprising.

Hang a stone from a tree, and use the following sign to gauge the weather.

Not sure, but on their main page there's a good series of pictures
showing the scales of the various planets.  I think the pictures may
change to different ones every day so get them while they're hot.

a quick check of google earth shows that although these look to be
photoshopped (shadows or lack of them gives it away) it is certainly
within the realms of possibility

Mind you, a hercy at maximum thrust, minimum weight and possibly full flaps
might succeed in jumping itself out of a spot like that.  They don't
actually do VTOL, but unladen and with minimum fuel they're not exactly
short of lift.

I doubt they'd have any lift at all when stationary, the wings need
airflow, but with enough thrust it'd surely ride up the lip of the
trench, or tear the wheel off ;-)

What's needed is the Iranian Hostage Rescue variant - this has
rockets attached to the wings to provide very near vertical take
off. For the wings anyway, if not the whole aeroplane.
