Series 3 Axles

I ahve a 1976 SWB series 3 does anyone know how many splines are on the
front shafts? The vehicle is completely standard.

should be 10 spline on the front of a SWB i believe.

Diff is ten spline on all S3. Lwb had 24 spline outers to match the
salisbury rear axle and late S3 changed to 24 on the swb front and rear as
well. Late would have been after 1976, but the axles are interchangeable -
are you sure it is the original front axle?
