I ahve a 1976 SWB series 3 does anyone know how many splines are on the front shafts? The vehicle is completely standard. Lwb had 24 spline outers to match the salisbury rear axle and late S3 changed to 24 on the swb front and rear as well. Late would have been after 1976, but the axles are interchangeable - are you sure it is the original front axle? JD > I ahve a 1976 SWB series 3 ... The vehicle is completely standard.
