Just changed the battery in my remote key fob (Discovery TD 5, 03 plate)
Still doesnt work.  The old battery was definatley flat.  Does it need re
programming or am I missing something?  Manual says just put a new battery
in and it should work??!!
                                   Thanks.

I seem to remember you have to use the 'lock' button three times to 'align'
it.

Or was that the 'unlock' button?

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
Barbeques on fire by the chalets past the castle headland
I watched the gift shops glitter in the darkness off the Newborough gate
All these moments will be lost in time,  like icecream on the beach
Time for tea.

I was told I had a certain number of seconds to swap the battery by the
Geezer at LR but maybe it was a myth.. needless to say I didn't hang about.

I don't know if there are similarities between an 03 Disco and a P38 RR, but
if they *are* similar, I found this:

On the old ones you were supposed press the button and hold in for ten
seconds to get rid of any residual charge and memory so it would reset
before the new battery was fitted.  Maybe it's still the norm.
