Yes, I know the start and BIN price is a bit steep, but icba to follow up all those begging letters for a reserve or 'offer' price and BIN.
If anyone on the newsgroups wants it £175, OVNO, which I think is fair.

So do I. Your BIN of £350 on the auction page is taking the piss, mind. Brand new two-three bike trailers are about £400, and for that you'll get lights and everything.

I know ... I 've got fed up of people emailing asking me 'what I'll take' for _anything_ I've put on ebay, so yup, it's taking the piss. A 'real' BIN would have been £225/£250 I think. ... ;)

Doesn't stop the dickweeds trying it on, though, so now if anyone does, I simply forward their message to Ebay as being against Ebay's rules. If more people did that, the twats would get kicked off.
I don't mind someone making a sporting offer if something doesn't sell, mind you.

LOL, I hadn't even realised that it was against ebays policies. I shall make a note and act upon it forthwith. (Had an offer of £75 to 'take it away tonight' ... from someone in Devon, I'm in Doncaster, it's Friday night and I'm not waiting for some no-show ... ;)

Well, all's sorted. He wants the goods - he's bought stuff from me before. Turns out he mistakenly bid £3500 instead of £35.00 and someone else bid £75 at the last minute, and so he got trumped by two quid.
I pointed out that he wouldn't have to pay £3500 unless someone else had made the same mistake and bid £3498.
Which would have been fun to see....
My dream is two people making this mistake, and both using sniping software.

I saw one of they rocket-III things today. Now THAT's a bike. I think. f.cking big, anyway. the bloke reckons if you drop it you have to find a convenient rugby team to pick it up again, as it weighs about 750 lbs or something.

Actually, it's got to be the ultimate long-distance cruiser. But for everyday use, yeah, too big.

The GoldWing at 1100 was just massive. Now my 1200 is the equivalent of cooking sherry, a Pan is 1300 and a Wing 1800. That's car engines, that is. 2.3 is just excessive, even with the monster torque it produces. Where next? 2.5 litre? 2.8? 3.5? I saw a pic the other day of someone who had put a 5.7 Chevy in a bike chassis. One day, that will be a mild commuter and the real sprotsbikes will have Atlas rocket engines. Size isn't everything, despite what my wife says. You could have a perfectly good, fast cruiser at half the size.

My auction says it's for a trailer to carry three Trials Bikes, most of which weigh less than 100 kgs each, indeed my old Beamish RL 250 only weighed 91.3 kgs dry weight and that was like a large elephant on steroids compared to recent gear.
Besides which, once it's gone the legality and responsibility for what's carried on it isn't mine.
PS, top-posting and poor spelling don't add weight to stupid attempts at nit-picking arguments.
