Bitchslut cuntfuck whore key would not turn in the ignition today. Its
been dodgy for the last 2 years, had to jiggle the key a bit sometimes
to get it to start. Now its stuck and I have jiggled and juggled and
tried the spare and sprayed wd40 and sworn. I have a shiny new barrel
and no idea how to fit it. I drill the old bolts out, but if the
steering is locked (which it is) is this going to be a problem?

Any advice?

My guess is you cut a slot in the old bolts and use a screw driver to bob
them out.

The lock should come out without too much trauma unless they have changed
the locks somewhat.

DON'T use WD40 on locks.. Graphite if anything.... pencil.

Knock them round with a hammer and small chisel/punch. You probably
can't get in to cut a slot.

Once the bolts are out the locking 'peg' lifts radially out of the shaft
and the steering's no longer locked.

I have several kilos of very fine graphite powder, from machining the
filthy stuff. Let me know if you want some - cheaper than a pencil !

I've heard no WD40, but not sure why not (maybe gunky after a while?).
I figured I had nothing to lose because I was going to replace the
barrel anyway, but it made no difference. Good idea the slots or
chisel. I was going to use an easy out type tool, but drilling the
bolts may be hard. Thanks

Yep WD40 is not a lubricant it is a Water Displacer. It does goe sticky
after a while but that isn't why you shouldn't use oil/grease in locks.
Oil/grease is sticky and dirt gets stuck in it, this wears the lock
mechanisium and will also gum it up. You need a "dry" lubricant like
graphite or these days perhaps a PTFE based something but graphite is what
is still generally recomended.
