I know a good few lanes there and am well up for it.

Stanage is a no-go for anything other than 90's or D1's with lots of lift and under body protection but there are plenty of other crackers to do. Struggling for a free weekend before Xmas to be honest, might need to look at mid January unless anyone can do a mid week day?

Went up to the pole once from the Redmires side in an Astra and a Countryside Ranger was looking a bit funny at me. :-)
Is the road to Hope still open from the A57 past the Roman signpost? It's a long time since I've been over there. There's quite a few lanes in that area, or was.

I should say so, but there's a narrow bit with a big boulder you have to go between that and the edge, I should think you'd be able to squeeze past in the 101" just about. Very bumpy though.

You should piss it in a GS, couple of places in the ambi I had visions of gashed sides to the body.
Make sure the diff lock is working for the pot hole at the bottom.. trust me.

Sadly, you won't get BFGs in the right size (265/55?). I think Grabbers have some AT2 in the right size, which look decent (no experience of them, as they came out the week AFTER I had replaced mine, bugger and bollocks), otherwise you're stuck with a road pattern.

Once they're broken in a bit, seem better. Got 'em on the 3.5 disco, here. The tyre bloke says that they're the most grippy one they can get for all these n**san big-cab things that the pipeline boys are typically using, which are on some odd-sized 17" tyres.
