He's here! :-)

9lb 9 oz's, Three weeks before delivery date. Registered keeper is fine and
He's firing on all 4 cylinders though the emmisions are a bit questionable
at the moment. When he boots it there is a black gunk emerging.  :-) There
is definately a response to V8 immitations and also immitations of the
gentle tickover (rapid fire winding technique) of the 110 TD. Hopefully he
will be able to leave the dealership with the keepers Monday if the post
delivery inspection for both owner and arrival are ok.

Master_D and Princess_D are well chuffed as is Daddy_D and Mummy_D.

Any one need any New born clobber? All this lot is too small, I kid you not!

Thanks all for the kind messages. Miss_D at 40 weeks was 10 lb 13 oz's  8-)
so Mrs_D is well chuffed that Baby_D was early. She had gestational diabetes
which causes baby to bulk up at a cracking rate... little Miss_D is now the
smallest in her year group and early signs are that Mrs_D's condition has
sorted it's self though it's a bit of an alarm bell for later life.

Baby_D was transitional (lying sideways) so despite having gone in for an
early induction (a week earlier than initially planned) we then had to wait
an extra day for Mrs_D to go under the knife. The Anaesthetist summed it up
bluntly, if we lived 100 years ago then neither would have survived the
birth process. Kind of made us glad we were in the position we were though
despite having gone through natural births with the last too giving birth to
a sideways baby is a bit more tricky due to umbilical cords and the
reservoir of water Mrs_D was transporting. Suffice to say that for the last
3 or 4 months I've been quietly sh.tting bricks and I'm glad it came to a
caesarean and an early one at that. And yes it made me cry like a baby :-)

He's a happy little (ok big, for now)  chap :-) ...

Si - Mrs_D is already on the case... how do I block word searches on Yell
and Google ;-) ?  That said all the seats are now accounted for in my car so
I feel at least I've done my bit for the environment... or maybe I
misunderstood the message of car sharing.

Nige - I'll send you some piccys, have you sorted your email?

You could always give them additional "internet" names.  They may end up
answering to them though :-)

It's a sad fact that most murders and molestations are not done by strange
men (or women) on the internet, but by family members.  It just doesn't get
such wide coverage.

Yes, he needs punishing for putting that poor woman through the hell of
being forced to rip off his testicle.  She could be psychologically damaged
for life.

(On a similar note, has anyone else noticed that if a woman kills her
husband with a carving knife, it's because he's been a violent beast,
whereas if he kills her with a carving knife, it's because he's been a
violent beast?  Do I detect a theme here?)

LOL!  Took one of our cats to the vet recently for him to be 'done' -
the vet let me watch the operation.  After he'd cleaned up, the vet
turns to me and says "Now for you..." (and paused) - I went into major

Been done, no big deal.
At least I didn't need to wear a lampshade to stop me licking them.

Frankly the dog gets a better deal as there is never a delay
getting an appointment and it's always the full private treatment.

There's a joke about LR dealers in there somewhere but I'm to
