What is the size of a v8 injection 3.9 litre sump plug. Can't seem to find
the right dimesion socket to get it off so want to buy one for the job but
already bought two that don't fit.

Many Thanks!

Richy.

Measure it first?

Not measured, but from memory 1 1/8" rings a bell - I just reach for the
right spanner from the toolkit, it's the big double-ended ringer witht he
red painted end.... sorry....

3.5s were 1 1/8" certainly. If they didn't reduce in size to 3/4" on the
3.9 that's probably still what it is.

It's summat like that.  It's not wheel-spanner (27mm/ 1.1/16").

I'm fairly sure it is one of the sockets that comes on the same metric
'large socket' rail from halfords (that does 23mm-32mm and includes both
the 24mm and 27mm wheel socket sizes)
