Suit Disco 3 etc, not gonna fit it due to having a warranty etc.

£125 delivered, cost me £149

BTW, it's not some cheap shitty one, it has special bits & bats to stop
error messages about failed lamps etc.

those are a bit pricey, unless it's a 2-bulb kit.

Indeed it is.  Also the ballasts are sub-fag packet size which is
attractive to bikers.

Any views on the road use legality of 50w HID bulbs?

Almost certainly a) they're not and b) you'll not get caught for it.

AFAIK, all HID 3rd party HID fitments are not legal unless you fit headlamp
self-levelling.

(a) 's what I thought

(b) Mine will not be the only bike fitted with them on a trip to that
land of the free AKA Germany  ;-(

I thought that it was only on original fit installations that the self
levelling was required and that aftermarket installations fell through a
loophole not anticipated by the legislators.

But I may be (probably am!) wrong
