On top of the hills around Mere today there was snow (this is on the
Dorset/Wiltshire/Somerset border area), I went up there in the pinz to
try my new CB rig out and to have a cuppa, and was most surprised to
find the snow, and also a snowman! About 3 feet tall, so quite a
size. It had snowed this morning even down by my house but it didn't
lay much other than on high ground.

It was snowing here in Coventry at 6am this morning, but by 9.30am it
had all melted away.
We don't get snow like we used too..3 inches is considered a lot these
days. I remember when I was younger playing out in our close when
there was 2ft of snow! I was off school for about 3 days....happy
days!

Couple of inches lying this morning, nothing to mention really. Playing
needs at least six inches, there might be that amount over the top roads
that haven't been ploughed and gritted.
Several short snow pellet turing to snow showers through during the day
but with the temp just above zero it's thawing as fast as it's coming
down. Roads are remaining clear.

It snowed here yesterday - just a little, mixed with hail and sleet, but it
was there. That's pretty rare in Pembrokeshire, even in winter.
Anyone else old enough to remember Summer 1976? It was the summer of the
long drought, but before that happened I distictly remember seeing snow in
Leeds in early June. Weird weather that year, and no global warming to
blame.

Well whilst driving from Ashton on Mersey to Bolton at 5:30 this morning,
there was no snow until you hit Worsley and then up to Bolton had a light
fluttering of snow 1", much more on the moors above Bolton and to the East.

Loads here in Boston. 3 to 4 inches. Was great in the early part of
the morning. My bro brought out his tracks for some testing, but by 1
pm it had all melted. did not seem worth the trouble of fitting them

There was plenty this morning around N.E Manchester, maybe 5 inches in
places. Bloody freezing going to a classic bike show at Bury on me old
bike, most of it had gone by around mid afternoon though.

Been off for a course over fri , sat and sun in the caravan, woke up to a
good covering Sunday and a 15 mile drive in covered dual carriageways but
for our tyre tracks along with a blizzard for most of the trip. :-)
Caravan was fine, initially getting up was cool to say the least but the
heater soon picked up. Ok till the aqua roll freezes which didn't happen
this time... oh and gas but we are on the red bottles - butane? Propane? I
get confused.
Got a picky of the white 110 and white caravan in the snow here.......
;-)

Red = Propane, It's the blue one (butane that freezes in the bottle)

Nice pic! I had to turn it sideways in the shade to see it. :-) Have you
not been far?, it's very clean.

Doesn't freeze - just won't boil

Just out of curiosity, what difference in temperature is there between the
boiling point and freezing point of butane?

That seems to answer every question. What made me think it freezes in the
bottle was something hitting the inside of the bottle when the outside
temperature was very cold if the bottle was shaken. I suppose it's possible
that there could be water ingress and build up due to leaving the valve
exposed without the cover and then blowing a small amount of water in as it
is refilled and this was freezing. I think I may invert the bottle next
time it is supposedly empty and open the valve to see what comes out.

Cold weather ups your sperm count too apparently, although it also
shrinks your cock. Nature eh!
