Buggery bastard buggering bollocks. I had a trickle of nice hot water in
my drivers side footwell this afternoon, so it's not the aircon.

I've shoved a bottle of radweld in and it's stopped leaking for now, but
anyone done 'em before and have such wonderful experience with 'em that
they can do 'em in a couple of hours? Preferably someone reasonably
local to Merseyside - and cheap....

It's not that hard. Just put another bottle of radweld in & they will be OK
for ages. I did that with mine until i caught them fitting a new sensor.
They leaked like f.ck, but radweld cured them again.

The jobs easy enough, but you need slim arms & fingers.

Ta, I was a bit worried by the "official" technique of removing the
dash. There do seem to be quite a few slightly more brutal ways of doing
it, but as Radweld seems to have done the job I'll relax for a couple of
days and throw some "Ce-Lit" in to finish the job off. That stuff has
saved me fortunes in the past.

Still need to do the steering wheel controls which I'm not looking
forwards to, but other than that and the outside temp sensor going dicky
it's working rather well. Oh, and the micro switches on the bonnet
catches played up today, but a blast with brake and clutch cleaner and a
bit of grease on the locks seems to have sorted that for now.

Got a new door amp from e-bay for £3.20 and fitted that today while I
was playing about, the stereo is pretty bloody good in 'em when it's all
working isn't it?

Oh yes the stereo is superb.

Dont fix it unless it pisses out, you won't need to.

Give it a thorough going over as if it has never been serviced in it';s
life. It will thank you for it.

I love the P38, it's one of the best if you look after 'em. If not, sell it
now! Nige it out....
