Yeah , not a cheap do either.
I have to say it's been my biggest fear for the vehicle. The choice is run
the risk or fit aftermarket kit that doesn't actually allow the correct
setting of the crush spacer and ultimately may lead to a knackered bearing
in the diff input pinion.
I'm hoping this is true!

My previous L322 had 76000 on the clock (or something close) when I shifted
it, and that was a 4.4 petrol and I *DO NOT* have a light foot. It was
offroaded, drowned, covered in mud, driven like it was stolen and it didn't
fail while I had it.....of course it might have been replaced before I
bought it ;-)
New one is, well bought from new, and a 2006 variant with the new bit - and
that's holding up well at 40,000 miles :>

Not unless there is a court order following costumers complaints I guess.
