I might be swapping my 200 Tdi 90 for a TD5 110 in the near future and as it
will be a daily drive I want a/c. Can anyone report how good (or bad) the
a/c setup is on the TD5, I know it is slung under the dash so won't demist
etc but how effective is it for cooling the interior?

Andy,

I've got a 2000 TD5 and the air con is good. Upto about 1 year ago it
was superb, coping well with 37 degrees C in France. I had a leak
about 12 months ago (broken pipe) that I had fixed. The air con is
still good. nit sure if it is quite as good as before the leak, but
haven't really had the chance to test it yet.

regards
