Shop around is what I do every year, there's no loyalty service with any of them now and every year there's new restrictions and/or endorsements and alterations to cover added to the policy. This is supposed to be a renewal??? Bollocks!

Other option is www.confused.com or similar comparison sites, no good if your truck is modded though.

Just to upset you all I insure my hybrid, okay its a its limited to 5000 miles a year on a classic policy with NFU. Just renewed last month for £57.64p. That's for a coil sprung V8 Rag top Lightweight. 100% legit with pictures and full spec sent to the underwriters. As for mods, the whole thing is a mod:-)

Mind you he might be a demon behind the wheel, perhaps I should check first.

[quoted text clipped - 3 lines] > Mind you he might be a demon behind the wheel, perhaps I should check > first. The Pope goes to New York. He is picked up at the airport by a limousine. He looks at the beautiful car and says to the driver, "You know, I hardly ever get to drive. Would you please let me?" The driver is understandably hesitant and says, "I'm sorry, but I don't think I'm supposed to do that." But the Pope persists, "Please?" The driver finally lets up, "Oh, alright, I can't really say no to the Pope." So the Pope takes the wheel, and boy, is he a speed demon! He hits the gas and goes around 100mph in a 45 zone. A policeman notices and pulls him over. The cop walks up and asks the Pope to wind the window down. Startled and surprised, the young officer asks the Pope to wait a minute. He goes back to his patrol car and radios the chief. Cop: Chief, I have a problem. Chief: What sort of problem? Cop: Well, you see, I pulled over this guy for driving way over the speed limit, but it's someone really important. Chief: Important like the mayor? Cop: No, no, much more important than that. Chief: Important like the governor? Cop: Way more important than that. Chief: Like the president? Cop: Much more important. Chief: "Who's more important than the president?" Cop: "I don't know but he has the Pope DRIVING for him!"

Mark is only 26 IIRC which definately makes a difference. I'm 28 now and have been noticing that every year past 25 it has dropped by a fairly large amount! Ive had the same car for quite a while now. When i was 24 it cost around £850 to insure 3rd party. It is circa £200 fully comp now!

I'm not so sure about mine let alone hers. Oh yes and in the application process it neglects to tell you if you're from Northern Ireland, procreate elsewhere!

You don't have to remember exactly, all you need to know is was it within the last 3 years or not, which is not too difficult to remember.

Just been back through it and your option is only valid if all the introductories are met, if you have to proceed into the full application you're required to provide driving licence date(s) in dd/mm/yyyy which doesn't allow for any guesswork nor approximation or abbreviation!

I was working on what had previously been posted, but IIRC I'ven ever been asked for the exact date of issue on any policy on which I have been included.

jg - 19 Jul 2008 21:16 GMT > WTF!!! > [quoted text clipped - 3 lines] > > Anyone got any ideas what i can do? I guess a vehicle so expensive to insure is worth a bit, but is there a "third party" option as there is here? It costs about $150AUS (75 pounds) and fine for my purposes. I bet off road type accidents are a nightmare to claim anyway and you are likely to suffer less damage than the other guy on the road... and if you are a brilliant driver like me it will be his fault.
