They're probably real, Goodwood has had a number of large, tall
sculptures featuring real cars bolted onto them like that.  Last time
I went there were real GT40s on a racetrack, with the track placed
vertically and the finish line on the ground.

They were indeed real - very impressive, particularly stood under it
looking up ;-)

The GT40 one a few years ago was one of my favourites too, as was the
Renault F1 "Feather".
