Land Rover is the Company, Range Rover is a Model made by Landrover, Just as
is the Series 1, II , IIa, III Defender, Discovery and Freelander... not to
mention a miriad of Special vehicles and Military vehicles.
As for modles for the new Rangie,,,, haven't a clue but will check in about
10 years when I can afford a second hand one.

Cheers but how come it sez `Rang Rover` on bonnet and not land Rover?? As
all Landrover models do Freelander disco etc etc. I was refering to the
difference between HSE and VOGUE :-)

Range Rover is a model made by Land Rover, the trim level is HSE or Vogue etc.
If you look on older RR it does say Land Rover on the green oval badge, the RANGE ROVER is on the bonnet,
the green LR badge is on the grill.

I remember at one point that the Company was actually called 'Leyland
Large Car Division' or very similar. Those were in the DARK ages,
although it may have overlapped with the early years of the Range
Rover model, the strike ridden Seventies >shudder<.
