I seem to recall reading somwhere about a run this Sunday from London to
Brighton, hoping for about 1000 Land Rovers. Anyone know anything about it ?

Yep.  There have been a few internal politics going on in the South
London and Surry Land Rover Club - and a few bits of unhelpful
misinformation and 'doings' (many who were booked into the run had
their cheques returned etc...)

However, the run _is_ on.

Turn up at Crystal Palace Sunday morning (follow all of the other
Landies) 07.30 - 8am LATEST, you can book in there and then, get the
run pack (including a T Shirt etc) and take part in the run - 20 quid.

Oh sh!t...  You've not really had the best of years really have you?

Still, write it down to a compressed period of crap luck.  Next year
will be hassle free, with lots of opportunities to get rusty armour no
doubt  :-)

That twenty quid would be the cheapest part, the real cost would be how much
petrol it would take to get to London, and then to Brighton, and then back
home, a rich mans pursuit methinks unless you actually live round there.

I sort of nearly did it once - long story, however it was ok as my
mother lives 5 miles from Brighton - so the 'excuse' was obviously to
go visit her (this was pre-LPG I seem to recall, too...)
