Hi,

There's an interesting description for this item on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=29749&item=2496490709&r
d=1&ssPageName=WDVW

Whats the described problem likely to be? Do the V8's have terminal
problems, i thought they were pretty reliable?

Sounds like big ends. Like any engine they go if they're abused or
hammered. Without further description of the sounds, like what kind,
when in the rev range, etc it's difficult to tell. It could be
something as simple as the exhaust knocking on the chassis somewhere,
or it could be as major as a new bottom end or a new engine required.

If it goes for that price it's worth taking a chance, but without
seeing/hearing it I'd budget for some hefty engine repairs or
replacement if you're considering it.

mind, 3.5 V8s are not that hard to come by in usable condition.  good ones
are a bit more tricky.

Not really considering it yet, i'm just trying to learn about the various
different models and versions in preparation for getting one next year.
Just not sure what i want yet :)
