As of this week, I'm now the proud owner of a 1987 ex-RAF 90 Hardtop.
It's pretty. Still on its original paint, wired for radio... It's even
got the RAF roundel and Union Jack stickers.

Just a few questions: can anyone recommend where to get comm radio, PA
and stereo systems cheaply?

Depends what you mean by "comm radio" - if you want a Clansman rig then
Anchor Supplies (http://www.anchor-supplies.co.uk) is probably your best
bet. If all you want is CB, then just about anywhere - truck stops, Maplin
Electronics (in the UK) etc...

Given that it's FFR, I'm guessing 24V electrics, so to make life simple on
yourself get a 24V->12V voltage dropper of the type sold for trucks and use
that to power generic car-type stereo kit.

In terms of PA, depends on what you want to do.

Welcome to the fold.

This will be 24v electrics, I suppose, like HGVs, so you might need to
go to the people who supply truckers.  I don't know the details of the
post-Series setup, but all the 24v systems I've seen use a pair of
batteries in series, and the Land Rovers have them in a box that
replaces the centre-front seat.  (Unless they have an arctic heater.)
