Will this fit my Defender 110CSW 2.5TDI Englsih Spec, 1991:

Sports steering wheel for Defender - Colour Grey. (Will also fit onto
steering column of S2a & S3)

355mm (14 inch) diameter outer ring

This steering wheel has the "Peg" type indicator cancellation feature on the
back of the mounting boss.

This has been fitted to 1971, 1974, 1992 & also 1996 Defender and the
indicators all cancelled perfectly.

Fits all Defenders except those with ABS brakes or Traction Control, as
these vehicles have different splines on the end of the steering column.

This steering wheel was made by Land Rover's steering wheel manufacturer,
but has never been offered as an option by LR. (Not sure why though )

Any help please

Hi Andrew, replied to this last night in the original thread - however I
think NTL are having problems with newsgroups so I've replied again and
e-mailed you..

There are two types of Defender column - the early/CSW type with a small
column, and the Tdi/non-CSW type with a larger diameter column.

The early type is fitted to:
90/110/130 pre-Defender (so before Tdi engines ~1990) with the 4-spoke
wheel
1998-on Station Wagons (including CSWs) with the 2 spoke wheel with the
fat removable central section

The Tdi type is fitted to:
Defender Tdis and Td5s except Tdi Station Wagons post 1998. 2 spoke
wheel with a removable oval badge to access nut.

There's no difference between those Td5s with or without ABS or TC, it's
done on Station Wagon/non SW. The Tdi type (larger diameter) is compatible
with Series columns - Dad's got a 2 spoke wheel with the removable oval
badge on his Series 1. I've got a Td5 CSW type wheel on my 1988 90.

If they say it will fit a Series column, then it's compatible with the Tdi
column, which should be fitted to your 110 - easily checked by the existing
wheel.

Hope this helps,

Martin

Martin,
Have read with great interest all about your 90. One question: There are
some pics of a half cut down rear door you put on but say it didn't work. I
thought of doing the same. Can you please tell me why it didn't work and
what you have now?
Cheers
Richard
