After more years than I care to remember of Series and defender
ownership I have bought a discovery (200Tdi) as a second car (or, "a
vehicle that can fit more than two people and a load of tools in" by my
other half), problem is it's not in the first flush of youth and the
previous owner crashed it into a hedge! I am sourcing some replacement
panels, doors and wings seem obvious how to change, however, my
question is how do you change the back "quarter" panel (the one with
the glass in), i'm used to just taking out the relevant bolts and
putting a new panel in. Help?

Your theory is still valid - and 27 bolts per side should leat
to at least and emprical proof!
