I purchased a new Honda with XM radio. I actually enjoy their
programming and would like to install in my wife's RX330. Is this
something I can do myself, or do I need to pay an installer? I am a
reasonably capable mechanic, but lack electrical experience. __JJS

Depends on how you want to go about it.
