IS AWD or BMW 5XX series.....................your opinions, please.

I am contemplating on buying the IS AWD or a BMW 5XX series. From
what I can gather from reading all the rags on the alt.autos.bmw,
there are a lot more posts about owner problems than the lexus group.
Lexus owners are posting more inquiries than problems.

I'd like to hear the responses from people who've owned both the cars.

You are comparing apples to oranges. The IS is comparable to the BMW 3
series. The GS is comparable to the BMW 5 series.
