Dark backgound on Nav System

How do you make your background dark at night? It used to do it
automatically but the other night I was on a trip and it stayed light and
lit up the whole car inside.

Make sure your instrument light dimming switch is not in the full bright
position. Turn it back past the click, and the screen should go back to
dark at night. Sometimes the car wash will move the switch while cleaning,
or you did it during the daylight with no apparent change.
