Have an IS300 that bogs down when the gas pedal is floored.   Seems
like the engine is making power but the car doesn't seem to accelerate.
After about a second and half the car starts to accelerate.  Have had
the fuel injectors cleaned, spark plugs changed.  Wondering if anybody
knows what area I might look at?  Is there a passing gear that might
not be getting activated???  Thanks for any advice.

Try manually down-shifting to see if performance improves.  If manually
down-shifting cures the problem, check the transmission throttle cable
adjustment and check to make sure the floor mats are not bunched under the
throttle pedal.  Also check the condition of the transmission fluid.  If it
is black and smells burnt, it needs replacement.
