The mirror was damaged and broke off of the casing that holds the
mirror in place. The casing is still in perfect condition, motors that
move the mirror still work. Does anyone know now if i can just replace
the mirror or need to replace the whole side mirror unit.

If your local Lexus dealer doesn't sell just the mirror, check with your
local glass company.

My local dealer only sells the entire unit as one piece, however the
mirrors are actually quite easy to replace if you can obtain just the
mirror. The mirrors are held in place by to clips that just clip into
place.  Don't know what year/model your car is but here's a place
to start:

You should be able to fina a local glass company in your area that
will custom cut the mirror to your specifications. It should be
relatively inexpensive as well.

Call around and get quotes.

Good luck. D-
