My mother phoned today and asked if I knew how to
reset the warning light for her car (I don't). Advice
appreciated.

see my comments under engine fault light indicator that I just posted,
is it the tire pressure indicator or the VSC-engine-brake fault light
indicators?

Put air in the low tire. Check the spare also.
