Car stored for couple years w/o battery.  Ran fine for 500 miles w/new battery but engine light came on.  Before diagnosed, left  stranded in parking lot.  All lights and power work, but ignition switch does nothing.  Ideas.

Check voltage at the battery terminals, check to see if there is power at
the starter when the ignition key is turned to the start position.

Cable to starter was culprit.  Thanks.
