I have a 2003 RX300.  The electric driver seatback adjustment will not
move the seatback forward; I hear a rapid clicking as if a gear is
stripped or broken.  I can't figure out how to remove the plastic
cover to see what's going on.  Or is there a manual override so I can
move the seatback forward?

As far as I know, there is no manual override.  The seat has to be removed
to access the motor and drive mechanism.

You need to check the switch assembly to make sure it's not broken and
also verify the operation of the motor.
The seat is held by four bolts.

You'll need to get the switch assembly, if it's bad, from Lexus. But
the motor, if bad, you may be able to buy from the local Toyota
dealer. The RX is a modified Toyota Camry, similar to the Highlander.
