Noise from suspension

I have a 2002 ES300. When I repeatedly press down on the front of the
car so that it bumps up and down, I hear a noise that appears to come
from the suspension. It does not happen when I press down at the rear
of the car.

Any clue what it may be, and how it may be fixed?

Noises are difficult to identify and diagnose without hearing them first
hand, or at least a description of the noise. Is it a creak, groan,
metallic sound, bumping sound?
