Hi, I have a lexus lx470 year 1999, and the mileage is 70,000. I wante
to know if anyone can help me, because my suv wont start. I checked th
starter relay, & the battery as well and they are both fine. When I tur
the ignition key I hear a click, and after that nothing. If you have an
suggestions, please help me. If it's the starter that is bad, then ho
can I take it out? thanks, I really appreciate the help, or somethin
else

Are you sure that the battery has a good +/- connection?
A failure like this can easily occur if even the car started
fine 10 minutes ago. Unless you're sure this is not a poss-
ibility, I'd remove/clean the +/- battery connections.
If you don't want to, or can't do that, then just pour some
small amount of Coca-Cola on the two connections. Let
the liquid soak in and set for about 20 minutes, and try
the start then.
But understand, if you do remove the connections for a
cleaning, it can have an affect on various electronic con-
ponents in the vehicle.

It's probably a $20 problem. The starter solenoid contact wears out.
