Hi all,
Can anybody, please, run this for me?
VIN: JT8BD69S510125273
I'm afraid that I got ripped off and I'm trying to find out the 'real'
history of this car.
Thank you so much in advance.

The story of this 1997 Lexus ES300 (JT8BD69S510125273) according to our
interpretation of the information reported to CARFAX: This sedan has had 3
owners and was owned in Alabama and Louisiana. It was originally registered
as a lease vehicle. The leasing company actually owned this vehicle and
collected payments from the individual leasing it until the vehicle was sold
or the lease expired. It was involved in an accident in Alabama that was
reported to the police. Its airbag(s) deployed. It was most likely involved
in a front or side collision. It was severely damaged and issued a Salvage
title by an Alabama DMV. It was later issued a Rebuilt title by an Alabama
DMV, which allows for the vehicle to be repaired and returned to the road.
It has a consistent mileage history with no indication of an odometer
rollback. The last odometer reading, reported on 06/10/1998, was 45,584
miles. It was not reported to a DMV as a Manufacturer Buyback (LEMON). It
has 1 recall that remains open for repair. Most manufacturer recalls can be
repaired at no cost to you. Go to Recall Check to get Lexus contact
information. Its basic warranty has expired. You may want to discuss an
extended warranty with your dealer.  Go to the Detailed Vehicle History for
the complete history and a glossary of terms.

Does this mean it is a 'stay away' car or is a rebuild ok?

Anything can be a good buy if the price is low enough.  In this case the
price would need to be very low.  Think about it, when did any seller of a
car advertise that it had been rebuilt?  It's kept secret because most
people will run the other way if they find out a car's been rebuilt, for
good reason.  The odds are the job wasn't done right, but you're not likely
to know that until long after you've bought the car.  Why take the chance?
Unless of course that price is cheap.
