I used the lacquer thinner mentioned in the miata.net section.  The first
one didn't go to well, because the lacquer thinner I found in the garage was
10 years old. When I bought new lacquer thinner, the job went incredibly
easy...hth...jim

By removing the visors ;-)
They are in the way all the time, anyway.
