2000 with power windows. The driver's side suddenly won't go down. The
passenger side works and there looks to be 1 fuse for both so my hopes
of a simple fix got dashed to pieces. So do I start with the switch or
rip the door apart first? Other things I can check? The switch doesn't
feel broken and like I said it just didn't work one day. Thanks.

Well I went out and took the switch out of the console. The problem is
simple. The switch is fine. What is broken is the actual button. Under
the button are 4 tiny little prongs. 2 in the front and 2 in
back. They move the actual switch. Well the 2 little prongs are broken
off on the back of the button for the driver's side and 1 is broken
off the passenger side. So all I need are the little plastic
buttons. I'll ask at the dealer but I'm guessing I'd have to buy a
whole new unit for some unreasonable amount of cash. If anyone knows
where to just get the buttons please let me know. In the mean time I
may try to superglue new little prongs back on. Thanks.

Frickin' figures. I searched ebay for 2 days. Nothing. The second I
buy a new one this shows up. :(

Thanks anyways.
