Are the 2004/2005 Miata's Prewired for Satellite radio?  I see the Bose
sound system has a "SAT" button, which means its satellite compatible.
Since the receiver goes in the trunk, I'm wondering if the wiring is already
in place.    I hope the wiring terminal is tucked in behind the brake light
or some easy place like that.

The Bose unit is pre wired for the Sirius unit.  Here are the
instructions:

If your download speed is slow, they begin with Remove Audio Unit,
Remove Glove Box, Remove Passenger Door Scuff Plate,

Thanks for getting this info.  However, I don't think the car is pre-wired.
The Bose unit is satellite ready, but absolutely none of the wiring is in
place.  According to the manual, you have to tear out the sound unit, glove
box, door scuff plate, door trim panel, etc to run a signal wire to the
trunk.  No wonder the dealer charges $400 to install.

Those manufacturers really count their pennies.  Would it have been that
expensive to run 10 feet of wire to the trunk during vehicle assembly?  Now
it's an all day job.
