Hi Guys,
I need some assistance,
I am looking for a part number for the oil filter located in the Jatco
L4N71B Type auto transmission box, fitted in a 1994 Eunos.
It seems that the Automatic Miata was not officially imported into either
Greece or the UK, so Mazda are saying they are not supporting this
transmission, but I know that the same transmission was used in near on
every mid 80's automatic Mazda, Nissan and a few Mitsubishi's and many
others after that, so hopefully the filter part number is the same for all
identical Mazda transmissions.
Also are there any Europeans on this forum that have automatic Miatas, if so
what have you guys done with regard to servicing and repairing the Auto box?
Cheers Mark.

i am not sure that there is a filter in the automatic transmission (but what
do i know) but you certainly will need replacement gaskets after going
inside.

oh, i see it now... the last pages of the '94 engine manual list "strainer
oil" as bvd1-19-815. there is also a smaller strainer part number
bv01-21-296... and some other one called "strainer inner"... plus the
gaskets... please check out the manual for yourself.
