If the range isn't sufficient I guess you could replace the batteries with Energizers? Then it would keep going and going and going and..

Mal Osborne - 16 Jun 2007 13:31 GMT Why would a electric car have 4 Exhaust pipes? (first photo). My guess it is a Jag, looks kinda reminiscant of an E-Type.

IMHO most of us outgrew that. Tacky.
pws - 17 Jun 2007 17:12 GMT > Kinda like kids putting a bit of cardboard in the spokes of their bike? > IMHO most of us outgrew that. Tacky. We used playing cards, frequently taken from the decks that the adults used to play bridge and poker. I think that they had to count them every time they played if they weren't breaking a new pack open.

And I still put them on my motorcycle. So there.

Not sure Australia is "Culturally deprived". Having seen Americans play Cricket, I understand why you need a "World series". Not sure inviting Japan & Cuba along quites cuts it though.

Not sure Australia is "Culturally deprived". Certainly not these days, but it may have been back in the early 50's, by which time the spoke/card trick was certainly established.
But Oz must have trading cards these days for Aussie Rules football, soccer, and cricket, no?

At least I have been if backyard cricket at somebody's Australia Day barbeque counts. Of course that was in Oz, not in the US. Here in the US, the only people I've seen playing cricket are immigrants from other commonwealth commonwealth countries, but I'm sure many of them consider themselves Americans.
As long as they're not playing netball...

If it does it would be because people expect it, I guess, but I don't think those are exhaust pipes?

Since we're far into the realm of speculation, I'm sure Pat and Leon will join us soon... <ducking>

A Leon observes data and them draws the logical conclusions.
http://www.autobloggreen.com/photos/lightning-gt/273109/ There are no exhaust pipes in this picture. Assuming they do not fake-exhaust through the front grille, I would assume no fake exhausts have been added at all.

This one seems to have E-Type four exhausts sticking out the back. Also, the car is supposed to feature regerative braking & hub mounted motors, yet this pic shows the hubs full of brake disks.

That does not sound like Leon to me, he is a little too scientific for that. His analysis on white paint alone proves that.....
I did speculate that the '95M has the same seats as the '96M. Turns out I was wrong, there was strong evidence in the pictures to prove me wrong, and if that did not convince me, I could have looked at a '95M in person. I am sure that I have done it other times as well, but I try not to "believe" in anything that can not be proved.
With the dead and badly beaten horse that is otherwise known as the RX-7 that lost all 4 wheels at Dixie, however, Leon was absolutely correct, and I love to argue with Leon. ;-)
Pat
Leon van Dommelen - 18 Jun 2007 01:31 GMT >I did speculate that the '95M has the same seats as the '96M. You were wrong. They do not have the same seats, they have seats of the same design. But I will admit that in that case, there was a minor imperfection in my observations too.
Magnanimously, Leon

Yes, it is true that no car can have the same seats in it as another car at the same time. That would violate some very basic laws of time and space.
However, in the case of the seats that were installed in the '95M, they are also of a different design than the '96M, having a separate headrest that I think is unique with the M1's, though I don't want to speculate on that. :-)

pws - 18 Jun 2007 02:00 GMT > However, in the case of the seats that were installed in the '95M, they > are also of a different design than the '96M Excuse me, I meant that the seats originally installed in the '95M are of a different design than the seats that were originally installed in the '96M.
Obviously the '95M seats are of a different design than the entire '96M Miata. I just want to keep things straight. ;-)
Pat
Chris D'Agnolo - 22 Jun 2007 03:52 GMT All right, you managed to confuse the issue! Answer me one simple question, which year 'M' came originally with the separate headrests?
Those are my all time 'favoritest' miata seats!

Hey, how often does an off-topic post go back to miatas? Not often... :-)
> Answer me one simple question, which year 'M' came originally with the separate headrests? I can assure you with no speculation that the 1996M came with non-detachable, (formed with the seat), headrests, while the 1995M Edition came with the ones that you like. I also think that the '95M seats are very cool, but I don't know if they have speaker mounts or not.

Chris D'Agnolo - 23 Jun 2007 02:36 GMT > I also think that the '95M seats are very cool, but I don't know if they > have speaker mounts or not. With a very slight bit of speculation, I can assure you that, no, they do not have speakers in the headrests. Not to say that some kook hasn't rigged a set somewhere in this crazy world.
