Question For 2003 LE Owners

I have an important question to ask of all 2003 LE owners: Did your Mazda
window sticker state your audio system includes 6 BOSE speakers? Please
check your sticker (if you kept it) and let me know if it did. FYI, the '03
LE I picked up a few weeks ago did have that statement on the sticker. I
brought this matter to Mazda's attention and they said their copy of the
sticker stated only 4 speakers. They asked me to send them a copy of the one
I have which I sent to them today. What I'm trying to do here is find out if
my case is simply a one-time typo or if it is a wide-spread problem. Let's
see how big a problem this is. Thanks.

IMHO, 6 Bose speakers is 50% worse of a problem than 4. Thank your lucky
stars.

We used to call them Bozo speakers (apology to Leon's ride ;)

If there ever was a speaker company who used their name
rather than the ability of their product to sell to
unsuspecting 'audiophiles', this is it.

I think the only reason Bose is big in car stereo is
that the car is such a poor listening room, and A-B
comparisons are almost impossible.

The only other big scam out there is the guy selling
speakers off the back of a truck who "just finished a
job installing these high quality speakers in a pub
and has a couple left over at a really cheap price."

I always ask how much the option costs which guarantees
there will be no Bose speakers in the car. :)
Yanks the salesman's chain.
