While building some shelves in my carport, I got some shellac spatters on
the hood and front bumper of my baby!  Shellac is thinned with alcohol, but
even covering the spots with an alcohol soaked cloth didn't soften the
stuff.  Any ideas?

Use toluol/toluene on a rag.
