I'm looking at both the 6 and the WRX for my next car.
Maybe a little bit of an odd comparison, but I love both of these cars. Any
ideas?

For the cost of a WRX, you could get a RX-8 and move up from the 6. You
could also go to Edmunds.com and compare both the 6 and the WRX to get the
comparisons.

A WRX does NOT cost as much as an RX-8.
The comparison between a 6 and a WRX is like apples and oranges. Different
cars for different purposes.

I was in the same bot.  I got the WRX wagon MT w/ short throw shifter,
upgrade alarm, and sub woofer for $22,500.   I like the Mazda6.  But I had a
fast fwd before.  I saw the 6 when I bought my wife an '03 MPV( we love it).
I never had a awd car so I got WRX.  Man i love that car it's fast and takes
corners like no other car(after you upgrade to 17x7.5).  I have out run alot
of cars like mustangs, Boxters, and every import out there with giant wings
and scoops.

Don't try an SVT Focus in the twistys. Better stereo, HIDs, absolutely
reliable & cost less too.

I'm not afriad of a Focus.  I got a bigger rear sway bar, ft and rr strut
braces, and a 4 point lower control arm brace all for about $200.  AWD
really makes a difference.  I just wish I knew abuot the Mazdaspeed 6.  I
would have wait on buying the WRX.
