Speaker size in the 6 ?

Does anyone know what size speakers are in the 2005 Mazda 6 sedan ? The
non-Bose system. I have read that they are 6x8 but need to know for
sure. Has anyone actually changed them or had the door panels off ?

I think the Bose system only changes the quality and number of speakers
(and amp), not their sizes. The door frames would have to be the same
size for all models, and they (should) attach to the frame, not the
panels.

btw, I have an '03 6s with the Bose audio.

Well, if you read through this site;

they could be round 6"'s or 6x8"'s.

I have scanned through the net only to read that 50% claim they a 6"
while the other 50% claim 6x8's.

I have tried to look through the grills with a flashlight with no
success, they must have fabric on the backside preventing a good look.

Was at the dealer last week, the 05 Mazda 6 non-Bose has 6x8s front
and back.
