I heard premature rotor warping is starting to be common.

I have heard about the rotor warping and the others. Not sure if the rotor
problem is happening on both the sedan i and s versions as the s version has
bigger brakes. Personally, I would look for a Mazda 3 with a built date of
Feb. 03 (nothing older). Hopefully in new versions, all 3 problems are
fixed.

Hummmm. Very similar problem from the Early 2000-2002 Ford Focus. In
addition to premature wearing of the INSIDE front disc pads.
My 2003 is making some real strange Front Disc noises, which Ford says are
perfectly normal.
It would be interesting to see if these two cars are having other similar
chassis/suspension problems.
