240D instant start now, thanks for the advice

Great group. Replaced 4 glow plugs, used the 1/4 drill bit, made sure
they were Bosch, as soon as the glow plug indicator lamp goes out she
fires instantly.  Thanks for all the info and help from this group.
Amazes me how the 240d rides.  So comfortable and smooth, not a
rattle(from the body).  Seems nimble.  The sound of the diesel engine
is music, as is my 74 bug's.  I am replacing the shocks with Bilsteins,
and she has a new set of tires.    I also have a 300sd that is like
new, but actually like the 240d for around town driving.  Long trips,
the 300sd gets used.

I have found that I do not need my Valentine 1 for the 240d.

Might keep it anyway; my 300TD doesn't accelerate all that quickly but
at 85 on the freeway it's still smooth as silk and you wouldn't know you
were going that fast if it weren't for the speedometer.
