Why don't they sell this 2,998cc diesel Chrysler in the USA??

I wondered what diesel engine is in there... The diesel engine in the Jeep
Liberty is like Detroit Diesel... not all that great.

This is M-B's new 3.0L (2987cc) 24 v DOHC V-6 Diesel: 215 Hp @ 4,800 rpm
and 376 ft lbs @ 2,800 rpm. Almost 72 Hp per L - That's HOT!
