Hi everyone....I recently bought a Silver 2002 E320 and love it very
much....Very nice car for a 23 year old.  I still have my 89 300E and have
been using that for running stuff down to my boat or carrying the dog
around, ect.  The car now has 152K on the clock and I recently completly
lost the reverse gear.  It will only kick into reverse if you floor the
excelerator...it will slam into reverse.  It seems like the gear is
starving for fluid or something.  I did a fluid'filter change last year
and the fluid does not smell like it is burning.  The fluid is also at the
correct level.  I also added a bottle of conditioner and it did nothing.
Anyone have any information about the reverse issue on a 1989 300E.

Thanks---Charlie--Monmouth County NJ

I have heard about issues with that tranny's reverse clutch.
