hi
anybody familiar with fuel line arrangements on 230te type fuel tanks?
I was just taking out the petrol tank to fix a pinhole leak in the filler
neck.....
unfortunately the top one of the three lines coming out of the tank turns
out to be rusted through and parts company with... - well that's the
question! The pipe disappears up into a block of rubber in the body, can't
see where it goes. Any one know what the pipe is, where it goes, tips for
replacing and so forth?

TIA

cheers!

checking with WIS the pipe seems to be labelled 'return' so presumably
returns excess fuel to the tank from the injector?
Would there be any harm in replacing the rotten end bit of pipe with an
extended rubber hose, assuming the rust is as localised as it appears?
Need to get the tank out and have a better look but got rained off this
afternoon (plus a face-full of petrol...) but was hoping for any insights
or
experiences.

Ta again

cheers!
