anyone suggest a source for original (or close) trim screws and fasteners other than a junk yard

Had the 73 SL painted many years ago. Am replacing the pillar post
seals and a few trim items, and now find out the painter lost or broke
many of the original screws so he used off sized screws (even some
wood screws) as replacements  S**T!

Go to the dealer... they can get you the right one... or you can look at
their assortment for equivalence.
